Get to Know You, Holiday Style

I have never done these survey's before but this one looked fun!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Both, but if I had to pick it would be the one with chocolate in the title.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Wrapped up, but Santa doesn't do it, the elves wrap up all the presents!

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
White of course, colored lights are just tacky.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No, but that's a good idea! I need all the help I can get, trying to get my husband to kiss me ;)

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Well this year, much to Brian's protests I put my decorations up after Halloween.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Sweet potatoes, hands down.

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child.
Me and my brother picking the lock to my parents room while they were gone to see our presents. We were bad kids, but in our defense you shouldn't tell kids on Christmas Eve that all the presents are in your room and NOT to go in there while you are gone!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
Huh? What about Santa?

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Last year Brian and I decided that we could do whatever we want! So we opened our presents like 3 or 4 days before Christmas!

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
With white lights, about 5 dollars worth of decorations, and alot of homemade ornaments.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Like most Arizonians I love the idea of snow, but when it actually happens here I like it for about 5 minutes before it gets TOO COLD!

12. Can you ice skate?
Yes! Well, sorta. Not very well.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
A couple of years ago Brian got me this Estee Lauder huge makeup case full of makeup! It was our first Christmas together and i thought it was so sweet that he got me that! I told him like once in a store that I liked it, and he got it!

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Man, this year is SO different. I think being a mommy has really changed me. I could care less about any presents this year. Just having my baby and my hubby is present enough for me.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Molasses cookies, which I am about to make.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
My dad always left stockings filled with candy and some toys outside our door on Christmas morning. We weren't allowed to go downstairs till my parents got up, but we'd run to the door on Christmas morning to see what we got.

17. What tops your tree?
A star. At my parents house, my mom would always top it with an angel. She is pretty into the angel tree toppers.

18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving?
Gosh, up until a couple of years ago it was receiving. But now I'd have to say giving. With a little receiving on the side ;)

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
Mr. Heat Miser.

20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum?
Yum, I usually make a mess out of them though.

So You Think You Can Dance!

So this weekend was like the coolest weekend of MY LIFE!!! I got to go to the So You Think You Can Dance concert tour! It was so awesome! I was a HUGE fan of the show when it was on TV and it was so cool to see all the dances live! I went with my mom, and we had a blast! After the show was over me and my mom were totally lost trying to find our way out of the arena when we just decided to go outside and try to find our way to the car. We went out this back entrance and there were a bunch of people around this gated little area. So it turned out we had randomly stumbled upon this place where all the dancers were gonna come out and do a meet and greet! So we braved the cold for a while and there they came! We got to see all of the dancers up close and I even got brave enough to squeeze in and get my pic taken with Sabra! So cool! All the people were SO nice and patient! They stayed out there for a long time going around to meet everyone, and considering this was like their millionth show it was really cool. It was such a cool night and I was so excited that I got to go! Here are a bunch of pics!
Me and my mom so excited for the show!!!
One of the only pics that turned out semi good from the show, this is my favorite dance too! It's the King one with Neil and Danny! My favorite dancer! Lacey, she is gorgeous in person! Me and Sabra! I look terrible in this pic! But look how close I am to Sabra! Awesome!
Everytime Neil came on stage the girls would just go crazy! It was so funny!
Another fav dancer, Sara!
Here is Pasha, another favorite of all the little girls there!
Dominic was SO funny! Lauren is from Arizona, so everyone was real excited to see her! Kameron
Hok was one of the specialguest dancers, he was only one a way from the top 10, but Im glad they included him! He has the coolest hair!
Jamieand another favorite, Danny

Tis the season to eat crumb cake

Tonight I tried out a new recipe for crumb cake. It was delish! I have to say, lately I have been a pretty good cook. I have been trying out a ton of new recipe's and realized something shocking, I can actually cook! I have always been scared of cooking and only thought it was for people like relief society lady's and Rachael Ray. But it turns out it's not as hard as I thought. It's actually really fun. I get a good feeling when I make a really good dinner that I didn't just warm up in the microwave :) I'm hoping to start making dinner EVERY night. We'll see how that goes :)
If anyone wants to try making this here is the link to the recipe:

Were Back!

So here are my daily somethings from this weekend!
This is Saturday's pic, THIS is what we do when we are in Pima. Brian's parent's just got this theater room. It is SO fun to watch movies in there! They have these bean bags in there that are perfect baby beds too, so Ayden just sleeps in there while we watch. Brian's parents are so nice to let us kids takeover their movie room while we are there! This is today's pic. I colored Katie's hair this weekend, Purple! It turned out SO cool! It's so fun to be able to do wild hair like that! Thanks Katie! It looks awesome!
This is Sunday's Daily Something. It's not so much a picture as a video, but it was just too funny. Brian's parents having this singing from that jumps and it just scared the crap out of Ayden! It is so funny and cute!

So far behind

here are my daily somethings-
Ayden just randomly started sucking his thumb this day! How cute!
Here is in a good mood, those are alway's good :)This is this new makeup I got from my mom and it is like miracle makeup! I have really red blotchy skin and this completely covers all the redness! It so cool to go from using a tiny bit of this powder instead of a pound concealer and foundation. I dont know how they do it but it really is so cool how little you have to use and how natural it looks! Thank You Mommy! Here is a pic of Ayden tonight, it's 2 in the morning. He finally fell asleep for good after the third time of putting him to bed. Awe the life of a mommy. here are some other cute pics I took the other day. I was changing him and he was in such a good mood. The kid LOVES to be naked. Anyway's I thought these were pretty cute.

Wellness Journal

So I decided to try something new. I got the idea from Big Picture Scrapbooking to start a wellness journal and then make a scrapbook out of the experience. Im really ready to get rid of this dub baby weight. It is SO frustrating trying to diet, Im just really not very good at it. Im hoping that this journal thing will help, maybe by taking lots of pics and recording everything will help. Anyway's here is my start pic, it'a pretty bad and im not gonna say how much I weigh cause that could scare some people! But I'll tell how much I loose, if that happens :) Here is my Daily pic from yesterday, Ayden loves sitting up in the couch next to us and watching TV lately

REALLY GOOD MOVIE!!!

I rented Memoirs of a Geisha months ago from netflix and I LOVED it! It was just kinda a random movie I got since I have seen most everything from netflix. It's such a good movie, I just rented it again and watched it last night and again today. It's such a pretty movie and a really good love story (like a Cinderella story, only in china and with geisha's! :)). If anyone is wanting to see a new movie that doesn't have any bad parts (big plus nowadays) and is just really pretty to look at (with a really beautiful soundtrack) try this AMAZING movie! Even Brian liked it, so it's good to watch with husbands for a date! If you watch it tell me what you think!

Too Tired To Go On

So Ayden has decided that he is gonna stick with this rolling thing, he has been doing it all day today. It's so funny cause once he is over he just doesn't really know what to do. He just lay's there and struggles. Brian and I went upstairs for a few minutes and when we came back down he was passed out on the floor. I guess the poor little guy was just too tired to go on :) What a sweet sight it is!

Ayden's Mobile, for real this time!

So today Ayden decided enough is enough, it's time to get mobile. He started rolling over about 2 monthes ago, but he has only done it a couple of times since. Then out of nowhere tonight he wouldn't stop rolling over! Everytime we would roll him back over he'd do it again two seconds later. The sad thing is that he really HATES being on his tummy, so he just gets mad when he does it. I got this picture and thought it was too funny, he has been drooling and chewing on EVERYTHING lately and in this pic he's licking his mat. What a silly baby. Can't wait to see if he keeps this up!

Everytime we'd roll him back over he'd have this cute little smirk on his face like he was so proude of himself! What a cutie!
Here is a video of him doin his thing

Ayden's First Halloween

This was Ayden's first Halloween and I knew I had to do SOMETHING special. So while Brian was at school tonight I decorated the house all spooky and dressed up as a witch. I mostly did it to freak Brian out, which worked cause he said he could never look at me the same again :) Anywhoo, it was fun hanging out with my little family this Halloween. We watched this scary movie called Dead Silence about these ventriloquist dolls and it was pretty scary. Well for me anyway's. I dont do to good with scary movies, I think Brian thought it was lame. Im not going to be able to sleep tonight, that's why I'm watching Harry Potter right now, trying to flush the scaryness out of my brain. Well, I hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

I think that I make the UGLIEST witch EVER! How sad!

Of course Brian couldn't be without a costume, so I made him this one. He seemed to like it :) What a good husband I have, who play's along. My little skunk baby, what a cutie pie!
Ayden missed his daddy while he was at school.
Ayden getting ready for bed after his first Halloween! I can't wait till next year!
