bad blogger!

So, I have been really bad at updating my blog! Looks like the last time I posted pics of Ayden was January 8th! Sheesh, am I a little self involved or what!? There has been quite a bit going on since my last blog, so I will just give the highlights:

*We have sadly come to the realization that there really is nothing we can do about the security deposit mess. We have no choice but to pay. After several phone calls and arguments, we realize that they are going to get away with it and there isn't anything we can do. SO, we have decided not to put any more energy into even thinking about it and are moving on. Life will go on, right? :)

*Ayden has been quite a handful lately. He has become IMPOSSIBLE to take anywhere now. So, my life as a hermit has now officially begun! He just cant sit still long enough to go anywhere. As soon as I put him in the cart he is squirmy and trying to escape. He lasts about a minute before he starts to realize he's buckled and not going anywhere, at which point he starts crying and screaming :) I used to think that those baby leashes were cruel, but now Im thinking I NEED one! How bad would it be to use one in the grocery store, or Target?

*We still haven't had our Valentine's Day. We decided to wait a week to do our Valentine's Day. Everything was just so expensive, and we didn't really want to go out anywhere with all the crowds. HOWEVER, last weekend Brian decided to go camping and so it got postponed again (im not at all bitter about this). So hopefully we get our Valentines date soon! We dont go out on many non-Ayden dates, so I am looking forward to one soon!

Well, I guess thats all. Not really very exciting so Im including a few Ayden pictures :)

ANOTHER security deposit nightmare!

Okay, so once again we are in another security deposit nightmare!
We just moved out of our apartment about 2 weeks ago. A week before we moved out I went to the office to ask about painting the place back. The lady said that they repaint the apartments after everyone moves out, and I might only have to do a primer. But she wasn't sure and said she would find out and call us back. She calls back Brian and tells him that the paint they use is really expensive and that we just have to match the color as close as we can with a cheaper paint. Okay... so I do that. It tooks me 3-4 days painting by myself and $75, but I got it done. I felt so good about the place because I made sure it was totally clean and good before we turned our keys in.
Fast forward about a week, and we get our lovely bill. They are charging us $150 for painting! We call them back thinking this has to be some mistake, but it's not. The manager says that no one in her staff would tell us we could color match and that it had to be that exact paint. She said that the color we used was way off (which it was NOT way off!) and that none of the staff members told us that we could do a different paint. Told us the conversation we had on the phone didn't happen and we have no way to prove it that it did, so we can go to court if we want but we have no case. Which at this point I am all too willing to do!
I just CAN'T believe this is happening again, and worse! Not only do we loose all of our security deposit, but we actually owe them about $100! On top of all the money and work I already spent painting. I am definitly not the confrontational type, but I was so mad talking to this lady I was shaking! We may not be able to go to court with this, but they definitly have not seen or heard the last of us! Im thinking about picketing or something! Lowering thier scores on all the apartment review sites! Something to get them back. I dont think I have ever been so mad in my life!

Tide me over till next season of Sytycd

So for those of you So You Think You Can Dance fans, here is something to tide you over until the next season starts. It is rumered that Chelsie Hightower will be a new pro dancer on Dancing with the stars. Lacey will also be returning, so it's a great substitute until SYTYCD starts again! Im so glad Chelsie will be on there, she was one of my favs from last seasons show! :)
