Some parent's like to take their kids to the park, watch them play, find things that make them happy. That's not how we roll. We like to take our kid to Target and make him play with toy's that scare the crap out of him. Granted, most toy's scare the crap out of him these day's so it's not as hard as you'd think to do this. He's pretty scared of puppet's, animatronic type toy's, or anything with loud noise. So we're strolling through the Target toy section when we came across a Jack-in-the-box. Pretty much all of Ayden's worst fear's combined. So being the kind of parent's that we are we wound it up, video taped his reaction, and maybe did it once or twice more for good measure. He screamed like a little girl! People came by our isle just to make sure we weren't torturing or beating our child. It is SO funny to us that Ayden is scared of anything, considering how unafraid he is of anything physically. Throw him across the room onto the couch, hilarious! Dangle him upside down and tickle his armpits, hilarious! Have him jump a few feet off the counter to you, NO FEAR! But for heaven sakes if you wind up a jack-in-the-box or put a puppet on your hand, TERROR!
So anyway's, this is the second take of the jack-in-the-box experiment and not quite as dramatic as the first. The quality is also pretty bad since we took it with Brian's phone, but the girly scream is very audible! :)

Ya know I always thought that a jack-in-the-box was a scary toy for kids, but I never knew anybody that was actually afraid. Poor kid. The fact that he screams like that does make it kind of funny. If he watches that video when he's 16 he is going to blame you for his entire life :) Don't worry Aunt Jenny loves her brother just enough to be the one to show him that clip ;)
Oh, poor guy! That is so funny, but sad too that his parents do it to him knowing it will scare him! :)
Sounds about right for Brian to... A: do that to his own flesh and blood. B: video it. C: do it over and over to make SURE he gets the best terrified scream possible, and D: have a boy who screams like a little girl. Yep, sounds about right! LOL Better pray CPS doesn't check your blog!
I just found your blog, Marie! It's been way too long. I'm glad you guys are doing so well, and I can't believe little Ayden is 3 years old now. Wow!
Poor Ayden! Lets think of something that will make Brian scream like a girl! ;) j/k When are you guys going to come see us?
