IM the coupon lady!!!

So yesterday I had a pretty interesting day. The morning was great, my friend Tiffany and I went to the mall for a while and hung out. When I got home I decided I'd make a quick run to get something to eat. I just grabbed keys, money and the baby and left. I went to Panda Express, ordered real fast, loaded a sleeping Ayden up and got in the car. It wouldn't start! So there I was stranded at panda express (which, I mean, there could be worse places to be stranded ;)). I called Brian who had just gotten to an auction over in Phoenix about an hour away. He said maybe it was the gas, so I went next door (I had to wake Ayden up and carry him cause I had no stroller) to this gas station to see if they even had a gas can, which they did. I was just trying to figure out how I was gonna carry a 21 pound baby and a gas can back to the car when Brian called Clint and Tiffany. Who came to my rescue. I felt horrible though, cause they were about 20 minutes away and had to come all the way over to get me. In the mean time Ayden was super upset about being woken up and was crying almost the whole time. Clint and Tiffany got there, put some gas in it and that wasn't it and it wasn't the battery. So they just took me home. Brian and Brendan had to tow the car back home (thanks Brendan!) and we haven't checked it out yet, but I'm hoping it's not anything too big because it would REALLY stink to have to share one car.
Okay so later that night Brian and I went to CVS really quick to get some contact solution. I looked around the store forever and couldn't find any so I asked the woman who worked there. She showed me where it was (right in front of me) and was like hey wait, your the coupon lady right? The one who does the extra bucks?! I was like uh yeah I guess, totally embarrased. And she was like I'm pretty sure you can get extra bucks on one of the contact solutions. She ran over to get a booklet showed me. I felt so dumb! I was like oh, Im just gonna get the cheap kind, but thanks :D So now IM the coupon lady! Great!

My little swimmer

Ayden went swimming today for the first time (we took him once when he was about 2 monthes old but had him in the pool only for about 2 seconds). I got him a little floatie yesterday and the weather has been so nice I couldn't resist! He was so cute! He had alot of fun especially when Brian played with him and made him go fast. I think being out in the sun really wore him out, because he has been so tired and calm all day. Until of course the very second that I type this cause all of the sudden he is starting to laugh uncontrably at nothing. Looks like he just got his energy back :D Well, I better go cause he is getting into stuff and falling over. Here are some pics of Ayden swimming.

Basking in the sunshine

Squinting at the camera

Daddy swinging him around in the water, he was LOVING this!

some pictures

So there really isn't anything new happening lately, I am taking Ayden out swimming for the his first time! So we'll see how he likes it! Here are just some random cute pics of Ayden so you can get the gangster Ayden out of your head :)

I snuck into Ayden' s room while he was supposed to be taking a nap, cause I heard some laughing. He was just laying in there laughing at himself with these big smiles. SO CUTE!

Ayden being a little cheeseball in his playpen

His new favorite way of sleeping is on his tummy with his butt out! It's so cute, and alot of the time it's way stuck way out there. hehe

Merry Christmas, punk!

Okay, so we haven't used our smaller digital camera for a while and Brian brought it with us when we went down to Pima this weekend. I was going through some of the old pictures on there when I came across this one. I mean I dont have any clue how I could have missed it! There were about a million of him with his hat on, but still! Brian and I had a good ten minute laugh, about our little baby flipping the camera off. Hehe, it wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have that little punk face to go with it. And the Santa hat just kinda nicely tops it off :)

Irrational Fear of Bubbles

Sorry, it's been a while since my last post. Things have been good here, Ayden (i think) is cutting yet another tooth. It's SO cute to see his big two tooth grin. But I think that he is cutting another one, he has been so grumpy the last couple of days. Yesterday I went to the store and picked up some bubbles. I was SO sure he would just love them and have some fun with them. The first couple of times I blew them he would just take a deep breath, like he was scared of them and bracing himself. Then one got a little too close and he flipped out! Like screaming and crying! He hates them, and I think he hated me for blowing them. Brian picked him up and comforted him, and he was just glaring at me! It's just so silly, my baby has an irrational fear of bubbles!

my big baby and the coupon lady

So first of all, I would really like to know what happened to my little baby. He is changing so much so fast! He is full blown crawling now AND sitting up. It's kind of sad cause when he sits up he is really unstable and wobbly, and he falls like straight back and cries. It's so sad and I'm so paranoid that he's gonna fall back on the edge or corner of something and get hurt. And just the other day he's been trying to climb up and stand up. He is getting really playful too. He will crawl over to me all excited with a big smile on his face and try to climb up on me. It's so cute, I just love it!
Okay and now the coupon lady. So I spent forever grocery shopping at fry's and came home and made dinner. Brian has been trying to get me to make a Texas Sheet Cake forever for him. So Im almost done making the batter when it calls for vanilla, we have none. So, I gotta run BACK out to the store and get some. I get what I need and go to check out and all the lines are totally full, and of course I get in the totally wrong line. I get behind this lady with a TON of stuff in her cart. She's got like 20 things of brownie mix, 20 cake mixes, 20 things of cookie mixes among some other groceries. So Im like that's okay it shouldn't be too bad they should be able to scan em pretty fast, which they did. But then she pulls out this stack of coupons like 2-3 inches thick! Im not kidding! She had like 100 coupons! I was just like, you have got to be kidding me. I had only a couple of things and she couldn't just let me go in front of her! Okay, so then after they scanned all of her coupons some of them didn't work and she was making a big huge deal out of it, the lady who worked there was like you may want to go in another line. So then I had to wait behind a bunch more people in another line! I was so annoyed. While they were scanning her coupons her daughter was like I want a candy bar, so her mom was like okay but you have to get these one's and you have to get 16 of them so I can use this coupon! Who in the world need's 16 candy bars, or a million cake mixes, and brownie mixes, and cookie mixes, and all the other junk she had in her cart. Anyway's, so I vented to Brian about this on the way home and he just laughed at me saying that that is what I am going to turn into cause of how into coupons I'm getting. But I really wouldn't ever do anything like that. She got hundreds of dollars worth of stuff for only a couple of cents (yes, she only ended up paying a couple of cents!). I think that's taking it too far and pretty much totally ripping off the store. I LOVE using coupons and getting good deals, but I think that some people take advantage of the deals and get carried away. Anyway's I'm done venting and I'll post some cute pictures of Ayden from the last couple of day's.

Here are some sleeping one's:
Just thought this was cute, he was all cuddled in the corner while taking a nap.
This one cracks me up. We left the room for like a second and came back and he was totally passed out in his exersaucer. So funny cause he's standing too! So stinken cute!

Here are some play one's:

Brian's throwning him in the air, he LOVES this!Being thrown. Can't see his face but you can see he's screamingBrian tickling Ayden
Here he is sitting up, it's so funny it look like he's trying to show you something.

Jungle Book addiction

First of all I want to announce that my little baby had his first tooth break through. I knew it was coming cause he has been understandably grumpy these days. I can't believe how fast he is growing up! I dont know where the time is going.
Second of all, Ayden is totally addicted tothe Jungle Book. It is the wierdest thing ever! He doesn't like anything else. At first we thought maybe it was just because we didn't have hardly any other movies for him to watch, so we bought Aladdin. I thought he'd love it with all the colors and everything, but nope he cried when we turned it on. So then we thought we'd do a little experiment. We turned on the Jungle Book, totally captivated. Switched it to Aladdin, cried! Switched it back to Jungle Book, quiet! What a little booger! So then came our next theory, maybe he likes the animals. So we got A Bug's Life, and nothing! Didn't care in the least. It's just so weird, he will be screaming his head off and as soon as he see's even the previews he get's all excited! I mean even just watching the previews he know's whats coming! What a smart but weird little baby. Anyway's with this teething going on I guess I should just be happy that there is SOMETHING that calms him down. Poor little guys is in so much pain, the least I can do is give up my TV and let him watch as much Jungle Book as he wants! :)
