our little ayden has a very good sense of humor, pretty much all the time. lately he has been figuring out how to laugh better. it's pretty funny. brian went on a camping trip friday night and when he came home on saturday he started playing with ayden. maybe he was just excited to see his daddy, but that little boy was laughing his head off. i got some it on film, but by then he was kinda stopping. then i filmed him taking his bottle which he was refusing cause it was too cold. you would think by the faces he was making that it was rotten or something, but nope it was just room temp. and the little stinker has to have it at just the right temp. before he will take it. he was pretty hungry here so eventually he took it, but he gave a crusty face while he was drinking it. OH! today for the very first time my little baby grabbed a toy! he took a link and held on to it for quite a while. then later we went to brendan and katie's and katie gave him this little plastic phone that had a rattle in it. he was shaking it and laughing. its so weird how fast he is growing up. this is really the first big boy thing he has done. the first thing that makes him not a newborn anymore. where is the time going? anywhoo, it is alot of fun watching him grow up. he gets funner and funner everyday. i love my big boy :)

so here is a video of ayden doing his baby talk. right before i started filming him he was talking up a storm, then as soon as i got the camera out he would hardly talk at all. so i apologize for talking more on here than ayden is. but it really is the cutest thing. he just looks up at you and smiles and talks just like he is having a real conversation. he does this all day long, just talking to himself or anybody who comes to play with him. im so lucky i have such a happy baby!

Adventurous Weekend

This weekend we went up to Mount Graham for Memorial weekend. Every fourth of July and memorial weekend all the cabin owners have church on the mountain. It's the coolest thing ever! There is an awesome spirit up there on the mountain. It is so pretty there, this lush green foresty mountain in the middle of the desert. Brian's entire family was up there and it was so good to see and hang out with everybody. Although we didn't see too much of our husband's, between pellet guns, risk, and hangin out with the guys. But I had a good time hanging out with the girls. We slept in a tent and it was freezing! I think that Ayden might have gotten a little cold, he was acting so grumpy some of the time. Which is really not like him at all. I also did something VERY scary for me, I touched a horse for the first time! They really scared me before up close. But I touched it, and I even rode one! It was alot of fun! My brother in-law Reggie took me and Brian on a horse trail and it was awesome, even though I could barely walk the next day :D As much fun as I had I was glad to get back down. While in Pima I got to do a bunch of hair cuts! I really miss working on hair sometimes. It was alot of fun. On the way home we stopped in globe to get gas and I went back to check on the baby cause he had started crying a little. There was poop everywhere! I don't know how he does it! He even had pants on, but it got out and got on everything! Ayden was just crying hysterically. He had little tears all over his face and was doing the saddest cry. He was better once we cleaned him and his car seat up (which was NOT very much fun). He just hates having a poopy diaper. Whenever we change poopy ones he gets so happy and smiley, its kinda wierd. Hehe, he probably is thinking what suckers we are for having to change those gross diapers. Anyways that was our adventurous and exciting weekend!

baby talk

So Ayden has started talking! Okay, not really... but he does make these cute little baby noises. The other day I was playing with him and I growled at him. And he talked back! It went back and forth for a minute or two, and it was soooo cute! He does it all the time now and this morning it was almost like he was trying to sing :) It's so funny to hear his little voice instead of just cries. Oh, speaking of cries, I was making dinner tonight and he started crying. I had stuff all over my hands so I just waited till I was done to get him. When I got over to him he had big teardrops coming down his face! It was heart-breaking! I have seen him just get wet around the eyes but never full-blown tears! I felt so bad, but I guess I better get used to it. I'm sure I'll see alot of tears from him in his life time :( Oh, today I went to Once upon a Child (great used baby store by the way!) and got him a Johny Jumper toy for only $8. It's the little bungee type seat that hangs from the door. We put him in it just for fun and he didn't like it much. He has a hard time holding his head up still. But I bet in a couple of months he will love it! I think it would be fun to go in myself, too bad they don't make grown up one's :) We also got him some cute shirts and pajama's that were on sale. I'm such a sucker for a bargain. I LOVE getting stuff on sale!

Pants

I just want to make an announcement! My pre-pregnancy pants finally fit! Okay, well the Marie definition of fit meaning I can zip and button them :) I probably wouldn't wear them out in public cause they are pretty tight, but I can zip them and button them! It's so exciting! I have seen them hanging up in the closet but have been way too scared to try them on. I tried them on a couple of weeks ago and they wouldn't even zip up, so Im so excited that Im making some kind of headway! It's so hard to loose weight after having a baby. You cant really cut back too much on calories cause of breast feeding, so the only way to do it really is to exercise. Which completely sucks! I HATE exercising. I have been pretty good the past couple of months, but I still hate doing it. The day I reach my pre-pregnancy weight will be a very happy day.
