Nicolas Rage Campanile

(and yes, it is RAGE!!!) Karen had her baby! Nicolas Rage Campanile was born on Thursday July 26, 2007 at 2:20 p.m. He was 8 pounds 12 ounces (way to go Karen!) and 21 inches long. He is so adorable! I was so sad cause I had a sore throat and couldn't hold him :( I can't wait to go see them soon so I can cuddle with that baby! He was so tiny looking! Ayden looks huge compared to him. It's hard to believe that Ayden was that little, just a few weeks ago. He is growing so fast! But anyway's I am so happy for Karen, and that she doesn't have to be pregnant anymore in this stinkin heat! Congratulations to the Campanile's!

Ayden is starting to smile! ALOT! This morning I even heard him laughing. It's so cute. He even smiles at me in the middle of the night when he wakes up. It's hard to be annoyed or upset when this adorable little face is smiling up at you. He does make it hard though to get a picture of him smiling. I was taking some pics of him, working so hard to get him to smile. After a little while the battery to the camera died, and I swear as soon as that camera shut of he was smiling his head off! Laughing even! Oh well, I'll get him eventually, hehehe :)

We went up to Pima this weekend and swam in Brian's pool. We took Ayden out for a little while, for his first time swimming! The water was pretty cold and I was sure he wouldn't like it, but he didn't seem to mind too much. He just kinda sat in the water with me very calm and contently. There were a couple of times when he first went in where he'd look up at me like, HELP! But he was okay, I bet he'll like swimming when he's older and can sit in a floaty or something. So things are going pretty good, Ayden is getting to be so much fun. He is really smiling now, and just tonight I heard him really laugh. It was so cute! I almost just died! He actually did it when I was changing him. I have never known a baby to like getting his diaper changed so much. He loves it! He's always so happy and smiley when I do it. He just likes a clean little bum I guess :) This weekend we got the 7th Harry Potter book. We stayed up till midnight and got it the day it came out, with all the other Harry Potter dorks. I felt like a dork bringing my newborn baby to Walmart at 12 at night just to get Harry Potter, but it was fun. Cant wait to read it and find out what happens!

So not much is new around here. I have started working out a little at the gym in our apartment complex. I lost a bunch of weight the first three weeks I got out of the hospital, it was wonderful! Now I'm just stuck and I know the only way to get it off is to exercise. I hate exercising! But I want so bad to be the weight I was when I got married, that's my goal. I got a LONG ways to go though. I gained a buncha weight after I got married, and then with being pregnant and all, yeah well lets just say I'm screwed! Anyways, I have gone to workout the last two days and it wasn't so bad. I felt really good after. Brian watches the baby while I'm gone so its kinda nice to get outta the house for some alone time.
The other day we gave Ayden a bath and he is really starting to like them. Probably more because his mommy and daddy are getting the hang of it. He just sits in there so calmly, like he's really enjoying it. His first couple of baths were pretty crazy and he didn't seem to like them much. Now I love giving him a bath, putting his warm pajamas on and feeding him before bed. Plus he has that great baby smell right after bath's, I love that! I'm pretty in love with this little guy. Its so nice to have more of a routine down, things aren't so crazy and I have more time to enjoy being a mommy. He is becoming so fun! He just will lay around looking at everything, so interested. I feel so blessed to have gotten such a good, easygoing baby. Don't get me wrong, he has his moments, but for the most part when he is mad it's just cause he wants to be held and cuddled. I cant complain about that!

Babies are so entertaining! I could look at Ayden all day long, he is always making me laugh with his faces and noises he makes. Just this week he started really smiling. If you catch him right after he eats and is in a really good mood, you can usually make him smile at you. It's so fun to see him smile at me for real, and he's got the cutest smile! I love it when he does the big open mouth one's where you can see his gum's. It's so cute. I love being a mom right now, he is so much fun. He's awake more, and he's usually pretty good when he's up. Last night was exciting! He slept 5 hours in a row! It's too bad that I was dumb and went to bed late, so I missed most of that sleep. But it's still very exciting! I can hope that it'll happen again someday!

Fourth of July Weekend

So we went down to Pima for the fourth of July weekend. It was Ayden's first road trip! He was pretty good, he slept most of the way there. Once we got there he slept most of the time too. Poor guy, I kept thinking every night that he wouldn't sleep cause he was up so much during the day. But every night slept so good. He even did his longest stretch down there, 3 1/2 hours! Can't wait till he sleeps through the night, he seems to be going longer and longer, so hopefully it'll be someday soon. We went up on Mt. Graham just for the day, and it was so much fun. We hung out with our friends Clint and Tiffany, and Andy and Michelle. Ayden slept the entire time we were up there, so I'm not sure what he thought about his first time on the mountain. Brian's sister and brother were also up there with their families. It was really fun to see everyone. It seems like forever since I have gone on a trip anywhere. I wasn't allowed to travel a month before my due date, so I missed the big Cluff family trip to California. It was really nice to get out of town. It was especially nice to go up the mountain and get out of this ridiculous heat. It was in the 70's up there, as opposed to the 110 degree weather we have here in the valley. Anyways, we had a lot of fun and Im so glad we decided to go (we were kinda worried about taking Ayden out). Here are some pictures from our trip.
